A confession: During most of my undergraduate studies, and some of my graute school work, photography was my main tool and medium. The work here was shot mostly on film, medium and large format, and only a few of these images were shot in digital format- although one body of work was not even shot by me (Slide Show). While I shifted my main focus over the years to moving images (video/film/animation), I learned how to see, frame, edit and conceptualize my work from the position behind a lens. This is still a major influence on how I make what I make and how I think about it. |
