From the statement: For the Magnes museum Meta/Data project, I have the privilege of wandering at liberty through the collection, amassing ideas. I'm searching out elements, cultural artifacts, and also reflecting upon a collection, assembling new stories and joining elements never before associated. I am making connections and layering information, while experimenting, playing, thinking about our collective pasts and present. This is an artwork of discovery, experimentation and play that invites the viewer to a game of associations Images, Top left to bottom right:META/DATA # 1 Untitled, 2008 META/DATA # 9 Visual Cliff Experiment, 2009 META/DATA # 2 Untitled, 2008 META/DATA # 8 The Ladies with the Lamp, 2009 META/DATA # 4 Western Union (Makes a nice sound, doesn't it, coming across a continent) 2008 All digital montage using materials courtesy of the Western Jewish History Center, Judah L.
