Psychological Prosthetics™ - 2005-2007

Psychological Prosthetic™s looks at the ways culture supports, fuels and suppresses emotions.
We offer a line of products from the 30 Second Rant Recorder (to activate outrage) to the PP Band Aid (to soothe shame, repair apathy) and a line of individual services that start strangers talking about emotional baggage in political times.
In 2005, PP traveled to Europe and Israel, offering PP Valise - a suitcase with products such as PP Loss and the PP Reframe. Street intervention took place in Tel Aviv, London, Winchester, Paris and Basel. We also had two sponsored presentation - at The Berkeley Museums' gardens (CA), and Millais Gallery, Southampton Institute. The public work was streamed back to San Francsico, and was included as a special project of Stretcher.org at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, as part of Bay Area Now.
In 2007, PP was invited to be part of Corporate Art Expo07 at the Lab, San Francisco, and for a week long public work in Chicago, in collaboration with Feel Tank Chicago and the University of Chiacgo. For thsi, we developed the new training suitcase, this time focusing on how to 'Handle you Emotional Baggage in Political Times'. The new product was the 30 Second Rant Recorder (to activate yourOutrage), and the PP Band Aid. Later on, the project was included in Pathogeographies, or Other peoples' Feeling, at Gallery 400, in Chicago.
In 2009, we were invited by Social Impact to take part in Subversive Messe, a subversive art fair in Linz, Austria. For this venue we produced Consume Your Fear please see separate link.
