Slide Show: Digital prints, 20 x 21", 2005-6

I begun this work during my residency at the San Francisco Landfill Artists In Residency program (Aug-Nov 2005.)
Technically, the work was made by scanning the slide frame (mount) and the slide itself separately. I scanned found images, selected from several hundred slides, choosing the most vivid colors and brightest, most remarkable images and text. By enlarging the images, the details - such as handwritten information, stickers, etc, become part of the visual information for the viewer to examine; the act of viewing becomes the core of the work. The title for each work relates to the original title on the found slide.
All are archival prints, 20x21 inches.
